Day 11 Kashgar -Tash Rabat
Morning transfer to the border cross the Torugart pass, stop at Tash Rabat Saray caravan and spend the night in a typical Kyrgyz Yurt (B-L-D).
Day 12 Issik Kul Lake
Morning drive to Cholpon Ata (Issik Kul lake) (B-L-D).
Day 13 Bishkek
Drive to Bishkek, explore Bishkekm in the afternoon (B-L-D).
Day 14 Taraz
Drive to Taraz. Upon arrival visit the Taraz History museum. Transfer to Aksu Djabagly nature preserve (B-L-D).
Day15 Tashkent
Free time before head off to Uzbekistan . Cross the border. Drive to Tashkent .

Day16 Tashkent-Samarkand
Sightseeing in the old section of Tashkent , the Kafelsashi Mausoleum, the Barak Khana, the Tila Shaikh Mosque and Archives, followed by the Chorsu Bazar, Kukeldesh Madrassah, the Friendship Square and the Navoi Theatre. In the afternoon, we take a countryside drive to the second largest city in the country, Samarkand . (B-L-D).
Day 17 Samarkand
The historic town of Samarkand is a crossroad and melting pot of the world's cultures and has been declared a World Heritage Site recently. Founded in the 7th century BC as ancient Afrosiab, Samarkand had its most significant development in the Timurid period from the 14th to the 15th centuries. Our tour takes us to the major monuments and includes the Registan Mosque and the adjoining madrassahs, Bibi-Khanum Mosque, the Shakhi-Zinda compound and the Gur-Emir Ensemble, as well as Ulugh-Beg's Observatory. Our afternoon tour also includes the Afrosiab Museum , located on the site of ancient Afrosiab and the Historical Museum of Uzbek Culture and Art, with the coffin of Tamerlane and a large copy of the Koran as part of its collection. Day 18 Samarkand-Shakhrisabz-Bukhara
We depart for the World Heritage Site of Shakhrisabz, hometown of Tamerlane. This historic centre contains a collection of exceptional monuments and ancient quarters, which bears witness to centuries of history with its power climaxing in the 15th century under the empire of Tamerlane. After our tour of Tamerlane, we continue for yet another gem of Uzbekistan , Bukhara (B-L-D).
Day 19 Bukhara
One of the grandest of Uzbek centers, Bukhara is an open museum with many mosques, madrassahs and a grand minaret. We spend the day visiting some of the finest examples of Islamic Architecture in the world, where exquisite tile and mosaic work complement the beautiful brickwork; it is no wonder the city is a World Heritage Site. Our visit includes the Lab-e-Khauz Complex with the Nadirkhon Devanbegi Madrassah, the Mogak Attari Mosque and the Poi Kalon Minaret. We also visit the Madrassahs of Aziz Khan and the Ulugbek Ark Fortress, the residence cum army headquarters of the Bukharan Emirs which houses an interesting collection of ancient objects. We tour the Mausoleum of Ismail Samanid, featuring some of the best Persian influenced10th century brickwork. We conclude the day with a visit to Sitora-i-Mokhikhosa, the Summer Residence of the former Emirs of Bukhara. (B-L-D).
Day 20 Bukhara-Khiva
We drive to Khiva via the Kyzyl Kum Desert . Along the way we stop for some refreshments and see how people have survived over the centuries in this barren landscape (B-L-D).
Day 21 Khiva-Urgench-Tashkent
We explore the World Heritage Site at Khiva. Our visit starts with the main site of Itchan Kala followed by Kalta Minor, the Kunya Ark, the Rakhimkhon Madrassah, the Mausoleum of Pakhlavan Makhmud, the Friday Mosque and the Tashauli Palace and Harem. To complete a perfect day we climb the Khodja Minaret to take in the amazing fairy tale panorama. This afternoon we are transferred to the airport for our flight back to Tashkent (B-L-D).
Day 22 Depart Tashkent
Our journey along the Silk Road comes to an end today as we bid farewell with "Sau Bolinizder", as we are transferred to the airport for our departure flight. (B)

ITINERARY
Day 01 Arrive Tashkent Hush ellipsis! A warm welcome in Uzbek language as we are welcomed in Tashkent and are transferred through the capital city to our hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Tashkent / Samarkand - 330 Kms.
Our journey starts with a brief tour of the old section of Tashkent ; a good introduction to the Silk Road . We visit the colorful Chorus Bazaar. Medieval history is everywhere as we explore Kafelsashi Mausoleum, Barak Khana,Tila Shaikh Mosque and Archives before heading off to the beautiful and historical city of Samarkand . After a rest in our hotel, we visit the famous Registan Square to see the beautiful Madrassah illuminated. Overnight at hotel (B, L, D)
Day 03 Samarkand
An exciting day ahead as we continue to explore Samarkand with a day time visit of the Registan Square . Later, we visit the remarkable Bibi Khanum mosque, the intriguing Silk Road bazaar and the Shahi Zinda Necropolis. Our post lunch tour includes the Afrosiab Museum ,Ulugbek's Observatory, Gur Emir, Mausoleum of Tamerlane and time in the local bazaar. We enjoy a typical local meal at a restaurant where everyone is invited to learn how to dance. (B, L, D)
Day 4 Samarkand / Shakre Sabz / Bukhara - 378Kms.
A countryside drive takes us to Shakre Sabz, birthplace of Tamer Lane , the founder of Uzbekistan . This is followed by a visit to the Ak-Saray Palace ruins, Dorus Saidat Seminary, Kok Gumbaz Mosque, Dorus Saidat and the Friday Mosque. After lunch, we continue our drive to the historical city of Bukhara .

Day 05 Bukhara
Bukhara , a World heritage Site, is a true reflection of the Arabian Nights. Walking through the narrow lanes, we visit Lyabikhauz, Madrassahs of Nadirkhon Devanbegi, Aziz Khan and Ulugbek, Khanaga, Mogaki Attari Mosque and the beautiful Poi Kalon minaret and mosque. After a Bukhara style lunch, we visit the famous Ark Fortress, the majestic Balakhauz Mosque, Mausoleum of Ismail Samanid and Chasma Ayub. We end the day with free time at the exotic Silk Road bazaar. In the evening, we visit a local family and enjoy some home cooked Bukhara delicacies with them. Overnight at hotel. (B,L, D)
Day 06 Bukhara / Ayaz Kala - 440 Kms.
A very different experience today as we depart for Ayaz Kala through the Kizilkum (red sands) desert where we visualize the crossing of the troops of Gengis Khan- a man who that changed the history of the world. As we approach Beruni city we see Amudarya before taking an interesting drive through local villages and the desert before reaching our yurt - a type that Genghis Khan and his large army may have used. Facing the Ayaz Kala, we settle in our yurts, a round shaped nomadic tent made of felt and bamboo sticks decorated inside with typical folk painting. This evening we enjoy a BBQ dinner and musical entertainment.

Day 07 Ayaz Kala / Khiva - 100 kms
Our visit to Ayaz Kala does not end with the Yurt and cultural experience of the previous night, in the morning we capture the first rays of the sun falling over the massive fort, and witness a magnificent sunrise. We continue following the footsteps of Genghis Khan and visit the nearby Toprak Kala Fort - one that was used for the ruling class. Forts here were constructed primarily to protect the Trans-Oxiana kingdoms from tribal raids and later served as pleasure houses for the rulers. After crossing the Amudarya ( Oxus River ), we encounter yet another highlight of Central Asia, the city of Khiva - another World Heritage Site. In the evening, we stroll through the town and picture ourselves in the land of a thousand and one nights!

Day 08 Khiva / Urgench - 30 kms; Urgench / Tashkent by air
A step back into medieval times. Our day in Khiva starts with a visit to Ichan Kala, Kalta Minor, Kunya Ark , Madrassah Rakhimkhon, and the local handicrafts at the Mausoleum of Pakhlavan Makhmud. From here, we tour the famous Islam Khodja minaret and museum, the Friday Mosque, Tashauli Palace / harem and a caravan bazaar. We have an excellent opportunity for meeting local folks and joining them at a traditional teahouse. After dinner, we proceed to the airport in Urgench for our flight to Tashkent . Upon arrival we are transferred to our hotel.

Day 09 Tashkent / Ferghana - 348 kms
We continue with the second part of the Tashkent tour visiting the famous NavoiTheatre, Ballet Theatre and Museum of Fine Arts . Later we explore more of Uzbekistan taking a rural scenic drive to the enchanting rich Ferghana Valley . En route we stop at various villages and have tea with the locals. Ferghana is always a very welcome site with its lovely rolling green fields and friendly people.

Day 10 Ferghana / Osh - 118 kms; Osh / Bishkek (by air)
In 329 BC, Alexander the Great founded a Greek settlement in the south western part of the Ferghana valley, on the southern bank of the river Syr Darya (ancient Jaxartes), at the location of the modern city of Khujand, in the state of Tajikistan. Our visit here covers the local History Museum and the famous sunday bazaar, Indindijan. Crossing into Kyrgyzstan and a short drive from the border we reach - the second largest city of Kyrgyzstan . Time to explore the city before we are transferred to the airport for our flight to the capital city of Bishkek .

Day 11 Bishkek / Issikul - 254 kms
Our tour of the Kyrgyz capital starts with the History Museum famous for its collection of Bolshevik Revolution artifacts. Next we visit Frunze 's House, named after the Soviet General Michael Frunze who won Central Asia for the Bolsheviks in the Civil War. Now we are off to the Burana Tower Archaeological Museum is situated on the site of a caravan town dating from the 10th Century AD. We arrive in Issyk-Kulin the evening and then drive to Cholpan Ata, a major resort centre. We enjoy a dinner caught fresh from the lake after which we take an evening we stroll around this beautiful lake.

Day 12 Issikul / Karakol - 138 kms
Cholpan Ata is a beautiful resort, we take it easy with a leisurely day. Late morning we depart for the Cholpan Ata Museum and the nearby historic rock drawings. This afternoon we visit Tyup to see the Monument and Museum of Prezhevalsky -the famous Russian explorer who spent the best years of his life in the region conducting research on animal and plant life. Later we proceed to Karakol - the black mountains.

Day 13 Wed: Karakol
Karakol is Kyrgyzstan at its best. Our morning excursion is to Djeti Oghuz -the nomads' meadow with beautiful mountain scenery of the Tien Shan ranges. We visit the yurt encampment of the local Kirghiz and join them for soup followed by a BBQ lunch at the meadow. Stay in Kyrgyz yurts (B, L, D)
Day 14 Thu: Karakol / Naryn - 395 kms
Today is our last full day in the Central Asian Stans. As we journey towards China , we have brief scenic photo shots of Kirghiz encampments. Upon arrival at the small border town of Naryn , we visit the well-known Naryn Mosque. Later we go for a stroll in this one street town.

Day 15 Naryn / Torogart border - 197 kms to Kashgar
We start today with a visit to the Tash Rabat Caravan Sarai, which was in use till the end of 17th century AD. Then we are off to Torogart border check point and after border formalities, we proceed to Torogart Top ( 2752 m ) where we are welcomed officially into China by our local guide. Overnight in Kashgar. (B,L,D)
Day 16 Kashgar
Today we will visit the colorful Sunday market where you will meet the locals. (B,L,D)
Day 17 Tashkurgan
Today we will drive on the famous Karakorum highway to Tashkurgan. On the way we stop at the Karakul Lake for a stunning view of Mustaghata Mountain . (B,L,D)
Day 18 Gulmit Pakistan
After immigration formulates drive via Khunjerab pass (4750m) to Pakistan and onto the friendly village of Gulmit (B-L-D).
Day 19 Gulmit Hike
Gulmit hike through Ghulkin village and glacier to Borith Lake . On the way we stop at a local family house for lunch. Drive back to Gulmit (B-L-D).
Day 20 Karimabad
Drive to Karimabad the capital of Hunz a. Visit the ancient Baltit fort, free afternoon to wander around the beautiful village (B-L-D).
Day 21 Karimabad
Early morning jeep ride to duiker village for sunrise and stunning view of the surrounding mountains. Later we drive to Hopper glacier (B-L-D).
Day 22 Besham
Drive to Besham on the Karakoram highway . On the way, we stop at Nanga Parbat (8125m) view point for stunning view of the junction of the 3 great mountain ranges (Himalaya, Karakorum and Hindukush) (B-L-D).
Day 23 Islamabad
Drive to Islamabad . En route we visit the Buddhist archeological site of the capital of Gandhara (B-L-D).
Day 24 Islamabad-Airport transfer
Half day sight seeing of Islamabad and Rawalpindi later transfer to the airport for onward flight. (B)

Day 3 Delhi - Shekawati
In the morning we drive to the Shekawati region. There are various districts founded by Shekawats: Jhunjhuna, Nawalgarh and Mandawa to name a few .Mandawa is located midway between Jhunjhuna and Fatehpur.The town's imposing fort in the heart of the city, now houses the most famous hotel in the region. Day 4 Shekawati - Jaipur
Early this morning, you will be transferred by road to the pink city of Jaipur (221 kms / 5 hrs), On arrival check in at hotel. In the evening we visit Chokhi Dhani - an ethnic village resort and enjoy Rajasthani food served in traditional style with folk dancing and music. Overnight stay at hotel (B,L,D).
Day 5 Jaipur
Built in the 16 th century, we visit the Amber fort and enjoy an elephant ride. We drive past the Hawa Mahal, visit the city palace and museum and walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar Observatory. Stay Overnight at the hotel. (B,L,D).
Day 6 Jaipur - Agra
We are transferred by road to the Mughal city of Agra (206 kms / 3.5 hrs). We visit the Agra Fort, built by the great Emperor Akbar and the spectacular Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Overnight at the hotel. (B,L,D).
Day 7 Agra - Delhi
After b(B,L,D).reakfast, morning drive to Delhi . Enjoy a city tour. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 08 Delhi - Amritsar
Drive to Amritsar . We tour the famous and sacred Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple . Overnight stay in a hotel (B,L,D).
Day 09 Amritsar-Lahore We drive to Wagha border in the morning where we meet our Pakistani guide and transfer to Lahore city. Overnight at hotel.(B-L-D).
Day 10 Lahore
Full day sightseeing in the Mughul city of Lahore . We visit the Fort, Badshahi Mosques and Museum. Overnight at hotel (B,L,D).
Day 11 Islamabad En route to Islamabad we stop at the Rothas Fort. In Islamabad , we enjoy a city tour. Overnight at hotel (B,L,D).
Day 12 Besham
Drive to Besham, via Taxila the ancient Buddhist Capital of Gandhara. (B,L,D).
Day 13 Gilgit
Drive to Gilgit on the Karakoram highway .Overnight at the administrative capital of Northern area's of Pakistan (B,L,D).
Day 14 Karimabad
In the morning we explore Gilgit, visiting Karga Buddha. Later we drive to Karimabad. Free afternoon (B,L,D).
Day 15 Karimabad
Full day visiting the sights of Karimabad: Duiker for sunrise, Hoper Glacier, Baltit Fort (B,L,D).
Day 16 Gulmit
Free morning. Drive to Gulmit Upper Hunza. In the evening we visit a local Wakhi family for a home cooked meal (B,L,D).
Day 17 Gulmit
Today we visit the local village. Our visit begins with the local school, followed be a handicraft project run by the local women. Later we hike through Ghulkin glacier to Borith lake drive back to Gulmit for our overnight stay (B,L,D).
Day 18 Tashkurgan
After the immigration formalities we will be driving to Tashkurgan over the Khunjerab pass (the highest border crossing pass 4750 m) where you will be well comes by our Chinese local guide and transfer to your hotel (B,L,D).
Day 19 Kashgar Drive to Kashgar. En route we stop at Karakul lake for a stunning view of the Giant Mustaghata mountain. Later we drive to Kashgar (B,L,D).
Day 20 Kashgar Sunday Market
Full day in Kashgar. Visit the Sunday market, Eid Ga mosque, Appak Khoja tomb. (B-L-D)

We drive to Khiva via the Kyzyl Kum Desert . Along the way we stop for some refreshments and see how people have survived over the centuries in this barren landscape (B-L-D).
Day 31 Khiva-Urgench-Tashkent
We explore the World Heritage Site at Khiva. Our visit starts with the main site of Itchan Kala followed by Kalta Minor, the Kunya Ark, the Rakhimkhon Madrassah, the Mausoleum of Pakhlavan Makhmud, the Friday Mosque and the Tashauli Palace and Harem. To complete a perfect day we climb the Khodja Minaret to take in the amazing fairy tale panorama. This afternoon we are transferred to the airport for our flight back to Tashkent (B-L-D).
Day 32 Depart Tashkent
Our journey along the Silk Road comes to an end today as we bid farewell with "Sau Bolinizder", as we are transferred to the airport for our departure flight. (B)
