Itinerary

Day 1- Beijing
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Free day to recover from jetlag (D)

Day 2 Beijing
Today we visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and the visit the old Hutong by rickshaw. In the evening, we watch the famous Beijing Opera (BLD)

Day 3 Beijing
Excursion to the Great Wall at Mutianyue, 70kms northwest of Beijing. We return to Beijing via the Ming tombs. Overnight in Beijing (BLD)

Day 04- Beijing
Tour the Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven. Overnight in Beijing (BLD)

Day 05- Overnight train to Xian
Free day in Beijing. Transfer to Xian by soft sleeper overnight train. (BL)

Day 06- Xian
Today we will visit the highlight of Xian: the fascinating Terracotta army. Overnight in Xian (BLD)

Day 07- Xian
More sightseeing in Xian city. Visit the Shanxi history museum, big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Great Mosque, Xian city wall. Overnight in Xian (BLD)

Day 08- Flight to Shanghai
Free morning in Xian before we catch a flight to Shanghai. Transfer to the hotel for overnight. (BLD)

Day 09- Shanghai
Shanghai city tour of Yiyuan Gardens, the Bund and Shanghai museum. In the evening we will see the Shanghai Acrobats, a must see show. (B-L-D)

Day 10- Shanghai
A full free day on your own to explore more of Shanghai, with its phenomenal mixture of space-age buildings, glamerous shops and of course, the old Concession areas of Nanjing Road and the Bund. Shanghai has a buzz that is all its own! We if you would like to organize any activities please talk to your guide for help. (BLD)

Day 11- Onward flight
