Tour starting point: Urumqi
Day 01- Arrival in Urumqi
On arrival at Urumqi airport, transfer to the hotel.
Day 02- Flight to Kashgar
Morning visit to Urumqi museum and Erdaqiao market. Later, flight
to Kashgar. (B-L-D)
Day 03- Kashgar Sunday market
Full day sightseeing of Kashgar including visiting the famous Sunday
market, Eid Ga mosque and Appak Khoja tomb. (B-L-D)
Day 04- Tashkurgan
Today we will drive on the famous Karakorum highway to Tashkurgan.
On the way, we stop at the Karakul Lake for a stunning view of Mustaghata
Mountain. (B,L,D)
Day 05- Sost
After immigration formalities, we drive via Khunjerab pass (4750m)
to Pakistan and onto the Sost. Overnight at hotel (B-L-D).
Day 06- Gulmit (Hunza)
In the morning, jeep excursion to Boiber valley. In the afternoon,
we drive to Gulmit. Overnight at hotel. (B-L-D)
Day 07- Gulmit
Gulmit hike through Ghulkin village and glacier to Borith Lake. On
the way, we stop at a local family house for lunch. Drive back to
Gulmit (B-L-D).
Day 08- Karimabad (Hunza)
Drive to Karimabad, the capital of Hunza. Visit the ancient Baltit
fort, free afternoon to wander around the beautiful village (B-L-D).
Day 09- Karimabad (Hunza)
Early morning jeep ride to Duiker village for sunrise. Later we drive
to Hopper glacier (B-L-D).
Day 10 Fairy Meadow
This morning we will continue on the Karakorum Highway from Karimabad
to Raikot Bridge. Our first stop will be at the junction of Indus
and Gilgit River, where the three great mountain ranges meet; Karakorum
, Himalayas and Hindukush.
Before Raikot, we will stop at a view point near Talich to have a
view of Nanga Parbat . Nanga Parbat was ascended for the first time
on 3 rd July 1953 by Austrian climber Hermann Buhl.
From Raikot we will change into jeeps for a half an hour drive to
Tato. From Tato we start a two hours trek to the lush Fairy Meadows.
Overnight in huts at Fairy Meadow. (B-L-D)
Day 11 Fairy Meadow Bayal Camp Excursion
(Height 3450m)
Free day to explore the area or optional hike to Bayal camp. Overnight
in Huts. (B-L-D)
Day 12 Astore Rama Lake
After breakfast, drive on the KKH to Astore valley and the beautiful
Rama lake. Overnight in camp.
Day 13 Rama Lake
Free day at Rama lake to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Overnight in
camp. (B-L-D)
Day 14 Deosai plain
After breakfast, we drive towards Chilim-Chowki at the southern edge
of famous Deosai plains. Overnight in camp. (B-L-D)
Day 15 Skardu
Early morning drive across the Deosai plains. We have lunch at Satpara
Lake and continue to Skardu town. Overnight in hotel. (B-L-D)
Day 16 Skardu
In the morning, we visit to Shigar valley. We tour the old mosque
and Shigar fort. Later drive back to Skardu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 17 Khaplu
Morning departure for Khaplu, a beautiful valley nestled in the lap
of mountains, 103 KM east of Skardu. Excursion up to Machulo for a
view of Mashabrum peak and Hushe valleys. Overnight in hotel.
Day 18- Karimabad
Drive back to Karimabad. Overnight at hotel (B-L-D)
Day 19- Tashkurgan
Drive to Sost and depart Hunza valley. On arrival at Tashkurgan, we
meet the guide and transfer to the hotel. (B-L-D)
Day 20- Kashgar
Tour ends upon arrival in Kashgar. (B-L)
